I have an application where I would like to mount a U3 and a RB12 on a piece of 35mm din rail with some other din-mounting devices. For space efficiency, I wish I could mate these two items together and have them snap in tandem to the rail with the TKAD connector. Unfortunately the DB15 connectors do not align in this configuration. Does anyone have clever solution for making this connection without having an unwieldy DB15 snaking between the U3 and RB12?

The reason the DB15 is offset on the RB12, is because the UE9 was developed first, and the DB15/37 accessories all have their connectors offset so both can connect to a UE9 at the same time.  Perhaps the connector on the U3 could be offset to match, but that has some trade-offs also and we decided not to prioritize DIN rail lineup.

The best suggestion I have is to use a small piece of ribbon cable to connect the 2.  I usually get a piece with 1 connector installed and snap on the other connector at the desired length:

That makes sense. Thanks!
