After a long hiatus I have a new application for the Labjack, industrial, could be higher volume. Anyhow, blew the dust off my old U3, fired up the LJ control panel, hit "Find Device" ... and it trundles and trundles and ... nothing. The U3 shows up correctly in the control panel. I uninstalled everything and installed 3.25, which shows the LJ Control Panel 2.26. It still can't find the Labjack. The green light is lit as usual. System is Windows XP. What gives?

Try the latest UD driver and LJControlPanel:

Make sure you are only running 1 software program at a time.

What does the LED do at power-up?

Can you use LJSelfUpgrade to upgrade to the latest firmware?

The LJSelfUpgrade didn't find it either even those the LED did it's normal flashing and the U3 made the little clicking sounds. After re-plugging the USB connection numerous times the driver installer came up again. Beats me why because the control panel had correclty identified the Labjack before. Anyhow, now it seems to run again. Thanks for your help. Now I have to update the DAQFactory software. Been years since last time but if I become hardcore stuck I believe Azeotech has a forum.

Strange. Sounds like the computer was confused for some reason.

Here is a good place to start for DAQFactory:
