See the following for general information:

I suggest you try a timer in 32-bit period measurement mode:

Before trying it in other software, first try it in the test panel in LJControlPanel.

thank you very much for your reply, however I have no idea on how to use the DAQ environment, is there any examples I could try?

First try the test panel in LJCP. Does that measure your signal properly? Then you can move on to different software. Do you plan to program, or perhaps just run LJLogUD or DAQFactory? What do you need software to do for you?

See this page to get started in DAQFactory:

http://labjack.com/s...ions/daqfactory

-You don't "select" the U3 anywhere. Rather, just try collecting 1 analog input as described in Section 3.1 of the DF-LJ app guide:

http://labjack.com/s...j-app-guide/3.1

-The DF-LJ quick tutorial assumes you have a single U3/U6/UE9 connected by USB. It uses D#=0 which means "first found":

http://labjack.com/s...alPrintable.pdf

-To use timers in DAQFactory see Section 10 of the DF-LJ app guide and see the example "Simple PeriodIn32 Example":
