Due to too much spam on the forum, we have had to enable moderation. All further posts will have to be approved by a moderator before appearing. There are multiple moderators, so hopefully this process will not add much delay to forum posts.

you may wish to present some form of alert, pop-up, specific dialog to users so that they do not enter posts multiple times until they ... accidentally stumble upon this thread and understand that the non-immediate appearance of their post is voluntary and not an internet failure.

We are always logged as admins, so don't see everything the same was as a normal member.  I logged in as a normal member so I could see what it looks like when you post.  The posting page gives a small warning, and then after the post is submitted the main screen shows a small warning at the top, but that disappears after a few seconds, and then you just see the list of topics but your new topic does not show up. I would say the new unapproved topic should show up in this list (perhaps grayed out) for the person that posted it, which is how it shows up for admins.

So there are a couple of small warnings, but very easy to miss, which is evidenced by multiple posts, particular from new users, not being that uncommon.  This forum is using IP.Board from Invision Power Services.  We are starting a major site re-do and will put this issue on the list for the forum.

BTW:  A major item we want for the new forum is to have it integrated with the rest of the site such that 1 login is used for labjack.com and forums.labjack.com.
